State of Maine, Region II Children's Cabinet
Greater Franklin County
Local Case Review Committee
The Greater Franklin County Local Case Review Committee is a resource for families with children with special needs, which require special services; are at risk of potential removal from the home due to unmet needs and are currently receiving services from two or more of the following State of Maine Agencies:
- Department of Corrections
- Education Department
- Department of Human Services
|
- Public Safety Department
- Behavioral & Developmental Services
- Mental Health Retardation & Substance Abuse Services
|
The resources of the Local Case Review Committee are to be accessed after all other available resources have been exhausted. A family can apply directly and be their own advocate or ask a representative from an agency they are already connected with to be their advocate. The Local Case Review Committee may be able to provide an advocate to assist the family if necessary and if a volunteer is available.
Families applying for assistance through the Children's Cabinet are encouraged to attend the review committee meeting whenever possible.
