ABOUT US
Working together, we can make a better place to live, work and raise a family. The purpose of the United Way is to analyze community needs, bring people together to address those needs, evaluate organizations that have programs serving those needs, and then raise and allocate funds for those programs.
The United Way of the Tri-Valley Area is part of a national system that works towards achieving common good in our communities. Your gift will go far, but not far away, as the Tri-Valley area includes all of Franklin County, Livermore and Livermore Falls. Payroll deductions and direct gifts are two of the many ways our donors help fund programs that meet the medical, financial, nutritional, and social needs of thousands of local people.
Our mission:
The United Way of the Tri-Valley Area strives to unite people and resources to improve lives and build a strong and healthy community; we do this by identifying local needs and addressing their root causes, raising funds to meet those needs, and collaborating on local initiatives that create a measurable difference in Greater Franklin County.
Our goals:
- Strengthen Families and Children
- Increase Independence and Financial Stability
- Improve Health
- Respond to Emergencies and Meet Basic Human Needs
By identifying the community's most pressing problems, supporting or developing programs that best address those problems, and measuring the program results, the United Way makes sure donor support makes a difference in the Tri-Valley Area.
The United Way knows that together we can do more than any one of us can achieve alone. If, in addition to helping others in our own special ways, every employed person in our Tri-Valley area contributed just $1.00 per week to our United Way Community Fund, we would create a resource of over $800,000 annually. This would enable our community to invest much more in new and expanded programs designed to solve community problems and take advantage of opportunities to improve the quality of life for all of us. That's the power of our community working together the United Way.
