Mission or Goal: RSVP, a program for the National Senior Service Corps, matches volunteers age 55 and over with volunteer positions that meet the needs in the communities they serve. RSVP provides support and benefits such as special volunteer insurances, recognition events, and a newsletter.
Volunteer opportunitees: Volunteers have a choice of assignments in 30+ agencies in Franklin County and the Livermore Falls area. Volunteers may also work at home doing telephone reassurance or knitting or sewing for children.
Required Training: RSVP serves as a "clearinghouse" for volunteer opportunities. Orientation packets are provided to each volunteer. Individual agencies provide training
Time requirement: A minimum of 1 hour per month
