Mission or goal: To measurably improve the health and well-being of all people in Franklin County and neighboring towns, using a coordinated approach of education, health promotion, and outreach.
Volunteer opportunities: Participation in task forces focused on a variety of aspects of wellness; peer educators for the Breast and Cervical Health program, volunteers for prevention programs in HIV/AIDS, violence, and childhood injury, volunteers for Mobile Health unit, volunteer for office work.
Required training: Varies, depending on the program.
Time requirement: One meeting per month, time on projects.
